Did you know that many people do not use a PC or MAC to access the Internet? They do everything via smart phones and tablets!
This means that if you have a site designed for a large monitor it will look terrible and be difficult to use on mobile devices. Their are two ways to handle this - you can create TWO separate pages - a mobile device page designed for tablets and smart phones (this is probably best for large organizations, but can be very expensive).
Or, the second option is to create your site with a responsive HTML 5 template that automatically changes shape to fit the screen size so it looks good and remains functional on all types of devices. The beauty of this is that it allows you to have ONE web site rather than two (forcing you to update both sites when you make changes).
This page (AjijicDirect.com) is an example. Try resizing your browser window (width-wise) and watch how the text and images flow into the different sized shape. No scrolling needed!
